Getting Mod, Part 3

The Mod Squad transitions into Tomorrowland, which is appropriate as TLand was a very mod place to be in the 70’s. Today, it is just a mess...but it does look like there may be a little lovin’ coming for TLand in the near future if all those rumors are true. Let’s hope. Back to the past...slide 1 gives a nice overview of the Matterhorn, Skyway, Tomorrowland Terrace, and PeopleMover track. And for all you greedy ones out there, you get more than a glimpse in shot 2. There’s a live performance at the TLand Terrace! Dig that Rolly Crump design.

The Skyway provides a nice overview of the Monorail station, the Autopia, and just the top of Small World in slide #3.

And for the grand finale today, here’s a nice one of the PeopleMover, Rocket Jets, Tomorrowland Stage & Ticket Booth, and just a touch of Mary Blair’s murals:

Hey Dave....what rumors??? I haven't heard much in regards to Tomorrowland except for the usual Star Tours upgrade and dreams of a new Peoplemover (yeah, that'll happen!).

Major - there are ALWAYS rumors! The PeopleMover being redone into an Incredibles Pod type ride is one rumor, the Autopia going electric and being sponsored by Honda, Astro Orbiter moving back to where it used to be, and Innoventions being looked at as a new attraction once the Microsoft deal is up. Again...just rumors. I take all that I hear with a grain of salt. Sometimes a whole shaker.

And... there is talk of a new House of the Future coming soon. But you didn't hear it here. Shhhhh

I’d take any of the rumors Dave talks about! TL so needs something to make it stand out! I am still having dreams (nightmares?) that someday I will once again be able to ride something on the people mover track!

A new House of the Future - WTF? (What The Future?) Where, when, what?????

I love pic #4, WOW, you can even see the old Tomrrowland Stage, looks like it had some of the Rolly Crump designed spires and such, too neat!

Thanks Dave!!

Tommorrow Land was my favorite during the '70's, so much going on, sad how times have changed.
