The Castle, December 1965

For the few who check the blogs out on Saturday, here are a few from yesterday’s 12/65 batch, showing 3 nice views of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Just follow the lady in the blue sweater.

See more vintage and contemporary Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle photos at my main website.

Nice castle pix, it's easy to get jaded since we see so many of them. Great color.

I was lazy today and didn't post!

Once again, I am bias to 1965 photos, I love these! I want to step right in.... Super color, Thanks Dave! I guess Major and I are the few who check your blog out on Saturdays :-)

Nope! Add one more to the Saturday list. Don't you like the paint scheme on the castle much better than today? Everything is "in your face" these days. People seem to need a stronger color "fix". It's a shame to see Walt's personal choices go by the wayside one by one. I spent 6 years there, and it never failed to recharge my sole.

Cox - I am right there with you; that salmony-orange color the castle is painted now is just putrid! Hopefully the painting scheme will be restored in the near future!

I like the banners on the poles. Very nice colors. And I agree with the comments about the castle. I am not a bling lover!
